Chris Van Vliet X Rogue Eyewear

Chris was a pleasure to work with for this shoot. Having watched some of his segments on WOIO’s 19 Action News, I knew working with him would be a positive experience. With Downtown Cleveland as the backdrop for the shoot, he was instantly recognized on a few occasions. He greeted everyone in a friendly manner. I could tell that he’s incredibly humble.

Mixing street wear and professional wear, you get a sense of how style plays a large part of his life. Here's how he incorporates Rogue Eyewear into his personal wardrobe.

Good Magazine Spreads

Three magazine pages for Good Magazine featuring the issues of producing corn for the production of Ethanol Fuel.

Problem:
Create two spreads and one page design for a world issue in Good Magazine.

Solution: I focused on the issue of global corn croppers creating corn for fuel ethanol, and how it's been effecting the global food market. The first spread was typography dominant, the second spread is image dominant, and the final spread features an information graphic. For colors, I kept the palette simple, using mainly green, black & white

Museum Advertisement Campaign

“The goal is to create a advertising campaign for a unique museum or museum exhibit. The campaign should be centered around a particular object, and the object should drive the concept for the campaign.”

This is a series of print advertisements for a museum exhibit. The exhibit is a Light Bulb Exhibit that would be held at the New York Hall of Science. The advertisements are meant to be simple and colorful. The project also features collateral, including a program, admission tickets, business cards, wristbands, and a gift box.

Tourism Map Illustration

For this problem, the goal was to illustrate a location in map form. We were told to choose from a list of 6 locations and I chose Honolulu, Hawaii. I chose Hawaii because I felt like this was a great opportunity to demonstrate my ability to use mixed media and provide a wide range of color in a illustration. I collaged the individual landmarks, while using watercolor for the background. I assembled the illustration in Adobe Photoshop CS4.

The final print size of the map illustration is 9.5 by 12.5
